Tadba andhari tiger reserve is one of most biggest 625 sq. kms tiger reserve in chandrapur district of Maharashtra. The name ‘Tadoba’ is the name of the God ‘Tadoba’ or ‘Taru’, praised by the tribal people who live in the dense forests of the Tadoba and Andhari region, while the Andhari is the river that meanders through the forest. It is said that “taru” was village who was killed in an encounter with a tiger.
One weekend my family planned to visit Tadoba national park and last moment I have booked resort in tadoba which is near navegaon gate of tadoba national park. This naturalist are very good experienced and give you all information about animals, trees and birds. I have done core zone safari from navegaon gate and it was unforgettable experience. I have went to morning safari around 9am in morning through gypsy and just after 6 to 7 Km from gate We spot something moving in grass after some time one big bison came out and cross the road. The bison was so huge and very muscular, we have taken many pictures after some time move ahead and encounter wild dogs on roadside. We was waiting for Jungle king and jewel of tadoba “Bengal tiger” everyone was waiting for tiger and that day our luck was with us and while going through road in jungle tour guide spotted wild cat that means Bengal tiger in grass our naturalist told us that the tiger name is “tara” and she also have her 2 cubs along with her. She was sitting in grass and relaxing and her cubs was playing around her. We have taken may pics of them and that moment we felt like our money paid off.
We have seen many beautiful birds in core jungle safari and Owl etc. There are various verities of plants and trees in tadoba which information’s given by our naturalist Mr. Deepak. After 4 hours safari we return back to our resort. Resort served us very good lunch and tasty non veg in dinner all of tour experience was very nice and we enjoyed this. You must book best resort in tadoba for good and relax experience because they arrange everything your stay, food and tadoba jungle safari booking in package only.
